About ModbusKit
ModbusKit brings frame generation, frame parsing, serial debugging and data conversion into your browser. Use it to inspect Modbus RTU, TCP and ASCII messages, check CRC or LRC values, and interpret register data. The tools are designed for engineers, technicians and anyone learning Modbus. Choose a tool, enter your data and compare the result with your device documentation.
Make Modbus messages and register values easier to understand, with practical tools that are quick to open and use.
- •Make frames and values easier to inspect
- •Help troubleshoot device communication
- •Explain protocol details with useful examples
- •Improve tools through user feedback
Build and parse frames
Work with common read and write functions in Modbus RTU, TCP and ASCII. RTU and ASCII tools include CRC and LRC checks.
Connect a serial device
Use the serial debugger in a desktop browser that supports Web Serial. Browser permission and an appropriate serial adapter are required; your adapter may also need a driver.
Interpret register values
Convert hex and decimal values, decode IEEE 754 floats, and compare byte orders for 16-, 32- and 64-bit values.
Understand data handling
Frame calculations and conversions run in your browser. The website also uses analytics and advertising services. Read the Privacy Policy before entering sensitive data.
